This research explores the principles and practices surrounding labor and wages during the Prophetic Era صلى الله عليه وسلم, focusing on ethical, social, and economic aspects. The
study investigates how Islamic teachings established a framework for justice, fairness, and dignity in employer-employee relationships. Drawing from authentic historical sources, including Hadith literature and the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, the research highlights key practices such as the prompt payment
of wages, prohibition of exploitation, and the emphasis on mutual consent in
employment agreements. The findings demonstrate that the Prophetic guidance laid
the foundation for a balanced socio-economic system where the rights and
responsibilities of both employers and workers were clearly defined and protected.
Special attention is given to precedents emphasizing fair treatment, respect for labor
contributions, and mechanisms for dispute resolution. This research contributes to
the understanding of how the principles derived from the Prophetic era remain
relevant for contemporary labor and wage challenges, offering practical solutions
for promoting equity, social harmony, and justice in modern economies.
